Shakespeare Sir William Shakespearian literature comic books Takshak Nagraj, a comic book artist from Bangalore, India, has created a series of comics that help children learn to read Shakespeare. This easy-to-use site offers an interactive comic book designed for children who are just beginning to read. It features lessons from Willy Wonka and also includes free downloads of two printable comics about the life of Elizabeth I. Takshak Nagraj (takhnagraj. com) is a popular comic artist from Bangalore, India. He has created two books of his comics, "Eye Wonder" and "Mark My Words". Takshak Nagraj was born in Araku Valley, Andhra Pradesh. After completing his schooling in Visakhapatnam and short courses at the Visakhapatnam College of Fine Arts and Calcutta Government College of Art & Craft, he went to Chennai for further studies at the Madras College of Fine Arts. He continued his studies at Calcutta Government College of Art and Craft and received a diploma in advertising and graphic design. He later earned a bachelor's degree in Illustration from the National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad. Nagraj worked for several advertising firms in Mumbai before setting up the comic book publishing house, Takshak Nagraj, Inc., in 1995. He has also worked as an art director with two different ad agencies in India and with the advertising agency, Creative Associates in the USA. His panel illustrations for magazines and books have been published in India. Nagraj has presented his work at many national and international exhibitions in India and abroad. His illustrations for children's books were chosen by children's book producers at Frankfurt Book Fair to be part of the International Children's Literature Triennial (Germany). His work also features in the book Children's Book Illustrations (Vol. 1-2), released by Schibsted for the International Book Fair of Bologna.
